TOPIC – Stand For The Truth
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 41-42; 1 Thessalonians 1
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 13:5-11
MEMORY VERSE: “Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” –Proverbs 23:23
The MESSAGE:
In this discourse, two words “truth” and “wavering” stand out. They need to be addressed first in order to drive home the real message in today’s topic.
According to dictionary meaning, the word “truth” implies the real fact about a situation. However, a seasoned writer described truth as a “prayerful entity”. He further likens truth to an oil which will always rise to the surface. It is an indestructible fact that will remain constant no matter how long it takes to cover it. That is why the Bible instructs in Proverbs 23:23, “Buy the truth and sell it not.” On the other hand, the word “waver” symbolises to lose strength, determination or purpose, especially temporarily. In this context, therefore, without wavering is the exact opposite. It is to stand firm and be resolute. The Bible equates a person who wavers to a wave of sea driven with wind and tossed. Such a person cannot receive anything from the Lord because he is double minded and unstable in his mind (James 1:8).
As a true believer, you must have absolute faith in God before you can please Him. No wonder the Bible affirms, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 6:11). Therefore, stand for truth and fear not, because it is only the truth you know and apply that can help you in the hour of need or save you in times of trouble.
Are you in trouble in your career or in your business? Begin to examine yourself today. Have you been truthful to your customers, your colleagues, your superiors? Are you the type that wavers or vacillates when you are supposed to declare the truth, due to selfish interest? Today, make up your mind because it is the truth you know and you practise that can set you free.

SECTION 7 CONFESSIONS
I totally trust in the Lord, and I am not leaning on my own understanding. I fill
heart with the words of faith; I receive and speak the words of faith. The young lion do lack, and suffer hunger; but I who seeks the Lord God Almighty, shall not lack a good thing, in the name of Jesus. God is my strong Rock and my House of defend, in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, I hand over all my battles to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord fights for me and I hold my peace. The Lord has bow down His righteous ears, to deliver me speedily, in the name of Jesus. I shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory I shall boast myself, and all shall see and shall acknowledge that l am the seed, which the Lord has blessed.
I shall no longer be disappointed, or fail at the edge of my desired miracles, success and victory, in the name of Jesus. It is written: behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts which dwelleth in mount Zion. I stand upon this infallible word of God and claim every letter of its promises, in the name of Jesus. I also covenant myself and my household onto the Lord; my fruits, I shall dedicate and surrender to the blessings and pleasures of God who has blessed me and banished my reproach forever, in the name of Jesus. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and foes, come upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell, in the name of Jesus.
