C.A.C SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON For November 17, 2019 : The Scriptures will be fulfilled

C.A.C SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON.
That the Scriptures Must be Fulfilled.
UNIT III: THE SCRIPTURES WILL BE FULFILLED.
DATE: November 17th, 2019.

II. The Word of God is the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is potent to liberate from sin, satan and the world. It is the only antidote that the world now have to cure the menace of the end time. Gospel preachers therefore, have the point of call to tenaciously preach the Word in season and out of season, using all the available avenue including the social and print media. End comes only when the Word has gained His widest coverage.

A. MANY WITNESSES WILL RISE (Acts 1:8; 5:42; 13:1ff)

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (1:8).

i. 1:8: The mandate to witness is the major theme of the book of Acts. It was Jesus’ parting word to His disciples, before His ascension (cf. Matt. 28:18-20).

ii. 5:42: The apostles had been witnessing Jesus to the people (cf. Acts 2:40). The witnesses continued to increase on daily basis And daily in the Temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

iii. 13:1ff: God soon occasioned the disciples’ movement out of Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria (cf. 8:4-5), then to Antioch where God called Saul and Barnabas to carry the gospel to the Gentile nations.

iv. The disciples did not stop or relent, until the gospel finally reached the imperial capital city of Rome. In fact, the likes of Paul were ready to lay down their lives for this (cf. 21:10-14). And it has since continued advancing.

v. However, we must not be unaware that among the several witnesses that are coming up today, there are those who have ulterior motives (Phil. 1:14-18; 3:19; Gal. 1:8). Anyway, the gospel is being preached (Phil. 1:18). What role is your assembly/denomination and family playing?

vi. Every good Christian must always remember the last word of Jesus Christ to His disciples “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations”, and he/she must be willing to carryout the mandate.

B. THE WORD OF GOD WILL BE RAMPANT (Matt. 24:14)

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come (v. 14).

i. Jesus foretold the preaching of the gospel in the entire world, before the end would come. Every Christian expecting the Second Coming of Christ should be more ready to preach the Word, in season and out of season (2 Tim. 4:2).

ii. This gospel would eventually be preached all over the world, because only in Christ is salvation to the ends of the earth.

iii. The gospel is to be preached for a witness to all nations. A faithful declaration of the mind and will of God concerning the duty that God requires from man, and recompense which man may expect from Him.

iv. This gospel will be a witness, for those who believe, that they shall be damned (cf. Mk. 16:16; 1: Jn. 5:11). No one would have the excuse of having not heard.

v. Every Christian expecting the Second Coming of Christ should be ready to preach the gospel all times, in and out of season. This is the way to enhance the return of our Lord Jesus to put the ultimate end to the terrible situations in the world today. Are you doing this well?

vi. Every Christian expecting the second coming of Christ should be ready at all time to preach the Word. Why? The scripture make it clear that Jesus will not come until the Word has saturated the entire world.
