Church of Nigeria 2019 Bible Study
INTRODUCTION :
Servant-leadership is both an attitude and a style of service. It stems from the
character Christ displayed and also commanded His followers to emulate ( John
13:2-17 ). He performed a task that was quite below His dignity. Servantleadership
is that humble disposition that drives a thorough bred Christian
man/woman to undertake responsibilities that are quite below his/her dignity,
for the good of the followers. In a world where even legitimate assignments
often appear burdensome to some leaders, thus tempting some to re-assign
them, servant-leadership calls us to condescension ( Phil.2:5-8 ) so we may reap
its attendant benefits, as will see in this study.

2. Read Phil. 2:-8 . Pick out some qualities of servant -leadership from the text

church today?
CONCLUSION:
As our Master taught us-by example, and commanded us to
emulate, so we should live. Condescension is the key to Servant-leadership,
and it confers great benefits always. Therefore, crucify the flesh for a
servant-leadership attitude to emerge.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
Only those who emerge from the crucible of thorough
Christian Discipleship can be servant leaders indeed .
