And the final point we will be considering in servicing your relationship with the Father is:
4 You have to pay a price: A walk with a deity is one of the most expensive experiences a man can have. Intimacy with God is not cheap. It will cost you time and something in your flesh; it may be what you love to do, friends, food, relationships and entertainment. Watch out for things or people that make it difficult for you to enter into intimacy. These are the people that the devil will increase their interaction with you to pull you back.
What must you give up to come into intimacy with God? If you keep spending time with newspapers, you will be fellowshipping with the spirit of the editor. But if you spend more time studying and meditating on the word of God, your spirit will get stronger and the things of God will grow in you. Give up whatever your flesh is asking for that is hindering your relationship with God
You may be at the junction of making decisions, why don’t you withdraw and ask the Holy Spirit for clarity. David inquired of the Lord if he could go for battles, and God showed him what to do. He enjoyed the reward of intimacy because he paid the price. Accuracy and grace for intimacy will come upon you when you pay the price.
Make up your mind today, that whatever it will cost you to develop intimacy with the Lord, you will pay the price.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to give up whatever will cost me to be intimate with the Lord in Jesus name. Amen!
