February 25, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional :- KNOW THE ENEMIES OF YOUR INTIMACY WITH GOD – GENESIS 3:1-6
We have looked at what it means to be intimate with God, the practical steps of becoming intimate with God and how you can maintain your intimacy with God. We will now be looking at how you can decipher and deal with the enemies of your intimacy with God.
To deal with the enemies of intimacy with God, you must first identify those enemies, know their intention in your life (to separate you from God or replace God in your life) and you must be intentional in dealing with such. These enemies could be money, habit(s), job(s), position(s), or relationship(s).
The devil knows that your strength is in your relationship with God; the true strength of a child of God is not in his effort, it is not in his natural ability, it is in his closeness to God and that is why he wants to put a wedge between you and God to drive you apart, once he puts a wedge between you and God, he will be the one that is giving you information and interpretation.
The devil’s power lies in his ability to hide his person, presence and his workings in a man’s life. If you don’t detect such subtle operations of the devil well enough, he will be in charge and this is one of the things the Holy Ghost reveals to you as you stay in intimacy with God.
PRAYER: Lord, every enemy of my intimacy with you that the devil has put in my life, I receive a deliverance from it in Jesus name. Amen!
