TOPIC: THE SEVEN ANOINTINGS
Read Isaiah 11:1-9
[1]And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:[2]And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;[3]And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:[4]But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.[5]And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.[6]The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.[7]And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.[8]And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.[9]They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
MEMORISE: For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua: upon the stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its inscription, Says the Lord of hosts… (Zechariah 3:9a)
EXPOSITION
Events of these last days call for emergency. David, the man after God’s own heart, was anointed 3 times. The Restrainer spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 1 verse 6 is about to give way for the sons of God to manifest. This shall be as a result of many years of incubation, by the Holy Spirit, since Pentecost.
The ministry of prophet Joel and the Epistle to the Romans are about being completely fulfilled (cf. Joel 2:1ff; Rom. 8:14-24). This manifestation however calls for individual’s attention, submission and subsequent cognate actions. This is the reason for the SEVEN ANOINTINGS… God has always released anointing on His people for special and timely reasons.
These divine enablement is meant for individual Christians to claim, receive and exploit for the latter Rain to fall, and to manifest end-time glory. The anointings are as follows:
1. Anointing for Worship: 2 Kgs. 3:15, Psa. 149:1ff; Eph. 5:19. This is meant to bring heaven down to earth, especially through Music…
2. Anointing for Intercession: Gen. 18:16-33; Isa. 62:1ff; Ezk. 22:30; 1 Tim. 2:1-8. This is the ministry of PUSH Pray Until Something Happens…
3. Anointing for Consecration: Matt. 19:10-12,27-30; Lk. 14:25-27; Rom. 12:1ff. This is the ministry of total submission to God’s will.
4. Anointing for Judgment: Mark 11:12-14; Luke 13:1-9; Act 1:5ff; 5:1-11. This is the ministry of SANITY and/or of no-nonsense in the Church of God and nation (Jn. 12:31).
5. Anointing for Deliverance: Isa. 49:24-26; 54:14-17; Luke 4:18; Acts 10:38. We have it exemplified by some Pentecostal Churches, CAC inclusive.
6. Anointing for Miracles: Matt. 10:1ff; Jn. 14:12; Acts 6:8. This is the ministry of the RAW Supernatural manifestations.
7. The Anointing for Money: Deut. 8:18; Hag. 2:7-9; Zech. 1:16,17. It is God who strengthens one to make money.
Receive unction to function today, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Thank You, Lord, for ALL you have prepared for my glory.
2. I am ready to manifest Your glory; Lord, endue me, now, with my portion of Your anointing.
3. Open our hearts, O Lord, not to reject Your noble offer, in Jesus’ name.
