August 17, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional :- THE POWER OF THE BLESSING (II) – PROVERBS 10:22 (KJV)

Yesterday we started looking at the power of the blessing. For example, when you look at Joseph, there was something on him that determined who bought him because the blessing he carried was plotting the parameters of his life to the throne.As a child of God, you are a carrier of the blessing, and it is time for you to stop the devil from putting negative things on you. One of the ways to trigger the blessing—because the blessing can hang upon you like a dormant force—is by vocalizing what you want to release the force into your environment.
When Saul came under the spirit of insanity and he took a javelin to throw at David, he missed him. This happened not once, but twice and the Bible says that Saul became afraid of David (1 Sam. 18:10-12). Saul came from the tribe of Benjamin and their specialty was throwing the spear. They were reputed for their accuracy in throwing spears and shooting arrows. When Saul kept missing his target; young David, who was in a close range to him, he became afraid. Just like Potiphar saw that the Lord made everything that Joseph did to prosper, David kept dodging the javelins of Saul supernaturally.
The blessing that Joseph carried made a supernatural power to work with him so that his natural result was more than natural effort. This is what makes a blessed man superior to a rich man – where your money ends, the blessing continues working.
PRAYER: Father, I receive your blessing over me afresh today. Your blessing will no longer hang over me as a dormant force in Jesus Name.
