13 Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.
14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

The MESSAGE:
I counsel you never to hurry over your devotional hour. Today’s passage reveals to us the evil of negative withholding forces. Satanic and diabolical withholding forces are very dangerous. They are first class in hindering people from enjoying their destiny. They make it difficult for people to receive help at the time of need. They make covenant helpers unavailable or unable to help. They make it so hard for a person to access help. They frustrate one’s helpers from being available for needed help.

‘Withholding’ in the Bible means refusal to give support in due season. It means to keep back or refuse to guide. It could mean to detain, to sit upon, to resist, to suspend, to restrain, to hold back, to punish, to close up, to be isolated, to shut up, to forbid, to restrict by acts or words.
There are two kinds of withholding forces: there are positive withholding forces and negative or satanic withholding forces. The positive or divinely-positioned withholding forces are helpers of destiny. They preserve our divine mandate. They forbid the enemy from carrying out their evil mission against the righteous. They can withhold the saints from sinning. They can suspend any evil force at work. Somebody grabbed Abraham’s wife, but God withheld the man from sleeping with her. I pray that this force will work for you, in the name of Jesus. As for the negative withholding forces, they work in the opposite direction of the positive withholding forces.
Withholding forces play a very big role in the rising and falling of families, individuals, organisations, churches, nations and countries of the world. Withholding forces can cause the sunrise or the sunset of any destiny. They are very crucial to the fulfillment or frustration of our divine mandate. The withholding forces have power to determine our arrival or non-arrival at our Promise Land. They can determine our speed, our safety and our success in the race of destiny. They can hold down either for good or for evil.
Withholding forces can be divine or they can be diabolical. Withholding forces have a double-edge power: they can push you into trouble or into blessings. Withholding forces can keep you from being bound and from being honoured.
This is why you must deal with negative barriers in your life, as they are evil, diabolical, destructive. They place embargo on destinies, divert favours, obscure clarity, block future, destroy chances, change the positive direction of people and prevent people from advancing to the kingdom of God.

MORNING
- Thou terror of the night, scatter before me, in the name of Jesus.
- I have dominion over every satanic challenge, in the name of Jesus.
- I confront every witchcraft challenge by the power of God, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Thou oppressor and thy weapon, drown in your own Red Sea, in the name of Jesus.
- I cancel every weapon of discouragement, in the name of Jesus.
- Holy Ghost, arise and link me with those who will bless me, in the name of Jesus.
- Fire of God, shatter blindness and darkness in my life, in the name of Jesus.
