September 16, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional :- MAKE ROOM FOR GOD’S BLESSINGS – Genesis 26:20-22, 2 Kings 4:3-6

God wants to bless His children, but He cannot bless us beyond the room we make available to Him. Look at the story in 2 Kings 4, it was not God that determined how much blessings she had, but the room she made available to God.
There is that supernatural dimension that God brings upon the physical things that you are doing when you make room for Him in your life. That is what marks you out as a child of God. If the result you have with what you are doing is the same result that people who do not serve God have, then, what is the proof that your God is the true God? Does God have room? What room have you given Him?
You must understand this divine principle – that for a man to experience the miraculous, both the supernatural and the natural are involved; and that God will not ask any man to get involved in the supernatural, which he has no control over but the natural that he can control. The instruction given to this woman was, “…Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels, borrow not a few”; this was within her control. The flow of the oil is the supernatural which was not within her control.
Take note of this – you are in control of your obedience; you are not in control of your instructions. God can only work in your life to the degree of your obedience. Divine results stop where human obedience ends.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive wisdom to make enough room for Your blessings in my life. Amen!
