October 13, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional :- THE MARKS OF A DANIEL (1) – Daniel 1:4-6

Today, we will be looking at critical things that mark out a Daniel. Daniel’s company consists of men who are correctly nurtured and cultured for their platforms
of destiny. The destiny of wildflowers that grow in the bush ends up in the belly of wild animals; that is a wasted destiny that is not nurtured for the beautification of palaces. Daniel and his colleagues obtained favour from the prince of the eunuchs because they had the right attitude and were correctly nurtured. They were malleable in the hand of God.
Another mark of a Daniel is that they associate on purpose. If you want to be part of the Daniel’s company, you must be careful of the kinds of company that you keep in life. Is it a company of unserious, rebellious, and disobedient women that don’t walk in love with their husbands? The group of people you are free and comfortable with are your own company. If you feel comfortable among sinners, that is your company. People that belong to the Daniel’s company are deliberate in choosing the company of people that they work and walk with. You can’t be in the group of unserious men, people that mock holy things, and be a part of the Daniel’s company.
Daniel had a group of serious men that he associated with (Daniel 1:6). These were men that were going places with great destinies. They were among the people chosen to serve the king in the palace, but after a while, they became governors in a foreign land (Daniel 2:49). Don’t settle with people whose lives are defined by mediocrity. Members of the Daniel’s company associate purposefully and deliberately.
PRAYER: Father, I submit to Your will to be correctly nurtured for my destiny. I refuse to enter into wrong associations that will lead me into wrong destinations.
