Today, we will continue on the second characteristic that marks out a Daniel. You must begin to check your associations. You don’t have any control over who you are born with, but you have control over who you associate with. Your association has a lot of roles to play in critical moments of life if you are going to be a member of the Daniel’s company. When Daniel was made a ruler over all the provinces in Babylon, he requested of the king that the men in his company be made leaders over the affairs of the state.

Whether you like it or not, everyone has a company. You must be able to identify the company you are in at every juncture in your journey on this planet. You must ask what company you should keep. Should you be keeping company with foolish people with no future ambition? We can know the vision you have of your destination by the company you keep. If you are going somewhere serious, you can’t be walking with people that are not going anywhere.

Wrong companies will lead you to the wrong destination. Get your associations right, and you will be on the road to the peak of your destiny. Daniel chose people he could pray with and seek the face of God together; men who were not ashamed of their spiritual roots when they got to a high platform in life. That was why the king said they should be chosen because the devil is looking for people to choose to pervert and train them in his ways.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, lead me to the right company of my destiny. Help me to be sensitive to every wrong company of men that are dangerous to my destiny.
