THE MIND – A KEY TO POSSIBILITY

When the mind is made up, anything is possible.
SCRIPTURE: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Proverbs 23:7.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When the mind is made up, anything is possible.
Many years ago, I had a programme at Kogi State University, Anyigba, Kogi State, Nigeria. And in the programme, I was supposed to preach in the evening on Tuesday, morning and evening, on Wednesday and Thursday.
Now, I had a very hectic schedule the previous week. And on the Tuesday which the Programme at Anyigba was to kick off, after I had ministered in our weekly Tuesday Healing and Deliverance Service (in Abuja) which ended at 2pm that day, I thought of how I could spend an average of four hours on the road from Abuja to Kogi State. I imagined how rough the road was. Then my body told me to reschedule the meeting. So, I picked my phone and called the pastor in Anyigba that I would be coming for the programme the next day and that someone else should stand in my place to preach that Tuesday evening. I told him how I had a very hectic schedule the previous week and that I needed a little rest after the Healing and Deliverance Service that day. He said, “Alright sir. We will be expecting you tomorrow sir”. Then, I asked him how everything was going, and he said, “Everything is fine. People have been coming to the venue of the program since noon. The hall of the meeting is jammed with people already”.
When he said that people had started gathering since noon that day for a programme which was supposed to start at 6:30pm and that the venue of the programme was already jammed with people, the tiredness in me died. All of a sudden, my mind saw how possible the journey could be.
Then I left Abuja for Anyigba and arrived at the venue of the programme before the evening of that day.
Beloved, when the mind is made up, anything is possible.
Remember this: When the mind is made up, anything is possible.

1. Make up your mind on any good thing you want to do and do it.
2. Refuse to be tempted to give up on what you have decided to do.
3. Ask God to strengthen your will and decision to obey Him.
PRAYER: O Lord, I thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask that You strengthen my will and decision to obey You always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
