Wednesday, November 25, 2020 – International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Read: Ecclesiastes 7:24-28

Ecclesiastes 7:24-28  That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out?

I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness:

And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher, counting one by one, to find out the account:

Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found.

For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey. And her mouth is smoother than oil; But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword (Proverbs 5:3,4)

Foolishness and madness, they say, are evil of some sorts, but a blandish and cunning woman is more dangerous and deadlier than anything you can think of. King Solomon, no doubt, was lamenting his foolishness, having fallen into the ditch of strange women to his ruin. Strange women with strange ideas and ways have entangled many with vile affections and only those who are wise by pleasing their God can escape their nets.

It is foolishness to fall into their traps because God has provided us a way of escape, and that is listening to His instructions. By that, you are wise.

There is a sore evil selling freely by haughty women. If they get you, you may be de-robed of your beauty, virtues, and all that is good about you. A bad woman is represented by a company of hunters, with nets and gin to catch her preys. Are they not everywhere? They search for their preys in popular and closed streets, in offices, marketplaces, cinemas, and now, in churches. Beware of them! They have ruined great men and pulled down those on the ivory towers. Don’t look at them twice nor return their smiles, else you may be in for it.

Brethren, the end is here already. The devil is angrier than ever before and strange women/men are some of his instruments to kill, maim, and destroy millions of Christians and even their shepherds. Only those who are wise will escape. Couples, hold tight to yourselves, and youths should zip up. May you not be trapped, forever, in Jesus’ name! Be wise even as you remember Dinah (Gen. 34:1-3, Amnon and Tamar 2 Sam. 13:1-15). What about Samson?

1. Lord, deliver our youths and children who have already fallen into the ditch of strange women/men.

2. Lord, remove all that negate Your will in my life and family.

3. Father Lord, save the Church from strange doctrines and living that want to close the door of heaven against her.
