PERTINENT PROPHECIES (1)

Read: Hebrews 1:1-3

Hebrews 1:1-3  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

MEMORISE:

By a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was preserved (Hosea 12:13)

EXPOSITION

Anything that is pertinent is simply appropriate to a situation, by definition. It is customary with God to prepare and raise messengers with pertinent ministries and messages, to meet with certain needs of the times, and especially, of His people. The pages of history are filled with this legion of God’s generals, (cf. Isaiah 6:1-13, Jeremiah 1:4-10, Amos 2:11; Mark 3:13-16; Luke 5:8-10). These set of people had always been addressed personally and individually by the words of the Lord; by what is pertinent to their fate, destiny and ministry. Those words of the Lord had always served as anchor of their boat of faith in the face of the storm of adversities.

Sometimes in 1984, a brother was privileged, by the Lord Jesus Christ, to see in a vision, departed “saints” of God; who “arose” from their “beds” on “assignment” to various people of their folds. Chief among these holy invaders was the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Also seen was Prophet Joseph Ayo Babalola (1904-1959) very “active”, as characteristic of him, as he went about waking the “sleeping” and “sounding” the loudest “alarm” to as many as would hear! God has always raised and sent ministers on definite assignments with a WORD.

The greatest joy of this visitation, as he saw it, was the divine impartation of spiritual gifts to many people considered to be non-entities and never do-wells! …And the lifting up of greater multitudes from the dunghill of despair to a glorious stardom of fulfilled destinies!

Are you still sleeping, my brother/sister? Wake up! and hear ye the words of the Lord. Just as angel Gabriel had said unto Daniel: “And, behold, a hand touched me …And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved; understand the words that I speak unto you, and stand upright: for UNTO YOU I am now sent” (cf. Daniel 10:10,11; Cf 9:21-23), meditate on and sing “Just as God who reigns on high, spoke to men in days gone by … etc CAC GHB 452 & 450.

PRAYER POINTS

1. We praise You o God, for the voice of salvation and redemption coming from the throne of grace to mankind through Christ Jesus.

2. Speak unto us again, our God and Father in heaven for us to hear.

3. Let the heavens hear and let the earth resound the voice of our redemption, victory and glory, today and forever, in Jesus’ name.
