FIRE SCRIPTURE: Numbers 32:23; Genesis 4:7; Genesis 44:16; Isaiah 59:12 (KJV)

Numbers 32:23; But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

Genesis 4:7; If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

Genesis 44:16; And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord’s servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.

Isaiah 59:12; For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

MEMORY VERSE: “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” – Matthew 12:34

Contentment makes a poor man rich and discontentment makes a rich man poor.

Jesus spoke the truth more than any preacher who ever lived. The Author and Finisher of our faith who defines Himself as the Way, the Truth and the Life in John 14:6 has something unique to share with you in today’s devotional session.

Sometime ago when I was in England, I was the head of a Bible study group in a particular Postgraduate students hall. We held our Bible studies on Tuesdays. The first day that I taught, I found that many people felt uncomfortable. The next time that I was to talk, immediately I entered the study room, I found that somebody had just finished ironing some clothes there. It was a sister in whose room we were to hold the Bible study, who had just ironed the dress that she would use to attend a party with an unbeliever. She was just waiting for us to finish the Bible study. I started to talk by saying, “Well, God will meet you the way death meets you and there is no guarantee that in the next five minutes, you will still be here. Those who still patch their Christianity, who are not yet ready to stand out, are planning for destruction because when Jesus was around, He was very rigid. So, in case you are looking for somebody who will bend the rules, such a person is not the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ kept saying: “Woe to the enemies of the gospel. He called the Scribes and Pharisees the sons of those who killed the prophets but He spoke good words unto those who loved Him.” As we ended the Bible study, the sister said, “Daniel, wait, I want to talk to you. What you said today is just what I needed to shake me out of slumber. But you see, I am a young girl, you are old. How then do I enjoy myself? You can afford not to go to disco but I, a young girl, how will I get on?”

If you combine all of today’s devotional texts together, you will discover that the truth remains the truth. You cannot reject, avoid or edit it. The truth is constant.

  1. Thank the Lord for He is the only One that answers prayers.
  2. Every Haman assigned against my life, fall down and die, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Every messenger of death assigned against my life, go back to your sender, in the name of Jesus.

  1. Every agent of death buried inside my body, come out and die, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Every gate of death assigned to swallow me, swallow your owner, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Every plantation of death, die, in the name of Jesus.
  4. Every stronghold of death on my mind and imagination, be pulled down, in the name of Jesus.
