December 24, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional : Topic – WAYS BY WHICH PEOPLE JOIN THEMSELVES TO THINGS (1) – Proverbs 6:2; 2 Chronicles 20:35-37

Today, we shall be looking into ways by which people join themselves to things. There are two ways by which doors are opened and closed in the spirit – through words and acts. These words and acts are in two levels: careless words and careless acts, deliberate words and deliberate acts. I will highlight for you how words are key in joining you to things.
- In marriage, words can join you to things. Marriage has three parts:
- Marriage joining
- The legal aspect
- The consummation of the marriage: which takes place after the wedding service.
The marriage or the joining itself is the words the groom and the bride speak to each other to covenant their souls to each other. That is why you must know the person that is standing in front of you on both sides. You must know that you are covenanting, and your souls and your spirits are going to be knitted together by those words, and a bridge that will flow into generations is being established.
Don’t say, “I am the son of a pastor and I married the daughter of a witch.” It does not matter if she is the daughter of a witch, but is she born-again? Are there negative ancestral flows that you have dealt with? Don’t be a Christian and some things are bypassing you, opening the back door and entering your family. Deal with them on time!
PRAYER: Lord, whatever I am negatively joined to, through words that have brought contrary flows into my life, I disconnect from them now in Jesus name.
