December 26, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional : Topic – WAYS BY WHICH PEOPLE JOIN THEMSELVES TO THINGS (3) – 1 Timothy 3:15; Hebrew 12:22-24
We are still dealing with the ways by which people join themselves to things.
- The Church, Calling and Anointing is one of the ways you join yourself to things. Don’t just say, “I like the teaching” when you go to church. Teaching is one aspect of the church, but it is not the major aspect of the church. What is the covenant behind the establishment of the church you are attending?
When we go to church, we must understand that behind every called man are covenants. There is an anointing that we join ourselves to. Elisha joined himself to Elijah and he became a prophet with a double portion of the anointing. Timothy joined himself to Paul and the apostolic destiny on him was brought to the surface. We shouldn’t just come to church as spectators, but we must be participants in the life of the church, in the covenants, in the anointing behind the church, and in the words that come.
The church is spiritual. Jesus said, “On this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matt. 16:18). There are gates of hell in the form of wisdom of the devil, manipulations of the devil prevailing against men on the face of the earth. But God said, “I will build my church on this rock…” What is the rock? The rock is the revelation of the truths of God which are the keys of the Kingdom.
PRAYER: Declare over yourself, “Premature death can’t join itself to me, ancestral failure can’t join itself to me. I will not partake of it. I will drink of the pure river that flows from the river and altar of God, Amen.
