Today, I want to show you some anomalies to avoid in marriage. If there is any in your marriage currently, begin to adjust and get better.

  1. It is an anomaly in marriage when a man is praying lesser than his wife. A man should pray everywhere (1 Timothy 2:8). In prayer meetings in churches, you will find more women than men. There are many homes today that it is mothers that are doing Quiet Time with the children, fathers will not be present. Some fathers stay at home during prayer meetings, while some will drop their wives in church and go to the club. Don’t be surprised that when the sons of such fathers grow up, they will do the same because they will believe that only women attend prayer meetings.
  2. Two critical things that must not be in a man’s life are anger and doubt (1 Timothy 2:8). Do everything within your reach to avoid anger in your marriage. Once you get into anger, you will open the door for the devil to come into your marriage. As a man, you must not curse your children in anger. Anger truncated the destiny of Moses. In the heat of emotional anger, he lost focus and struck the rock instead of speaking to it (Numbers 20:8, 11).

Don’t live a life without faith in the presence of your children. As a father, you should pray for them and teach them how to believe God on any issue. But if you are a doubter, they will not be able to believe God for anything.

PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from every weakness in the place of prayer. Help me to deal with anger and doubt, and eradicate them in my life permanently.
