Title: Seeking God with all your heart.

(Jeremiah 29:11-13) For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you . You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

When we seek God with all our hearts, the Bible says we are going to find Him. It is interesting to know that God has great plans for His children. Plans not a plan but many pans for us. Like we humans, when we have children, we want them to do well, we want them to prosper, we want them to have great hope and future. Our Almighty father has even greater plans for us , more than the plans we have for our own children.

But here is the deal?!! the plans of God for us will not be accomplished until we seek Him with all our hearts . In other words,  we have to seek Him sincerely. He sees our hearts and can understand when we seek Him sincerely, then that is when He will start to fulfill the plans He has for us.

You are not seeking God with all your heart when you get up in the morning and will not give Him thanks For giving you life, you are not seeking Him when you don’t bring your request to Him, you are not seeking Him when you have not opened your bible for days or months to know His will for you. You are not seeking God sincerely when you don’t even know Him as your personal Lord and savior. You cannot seek Him sincerely when you run around seeking for miracles , prophecy from different so called men of God, you are not seeking Him when you are paying men of God to pray for you and give you holy water and anointing oil. You cannot see  Him when you have not had an encounter with Him. He operates in a mysterious ways.

There was a man in the Bible who heard about Jesus, he heard about all the signs and wonders Jesus was doing , he decided to go extra miles to seek Jesus. And He found Jesus , Amen!

(Luke 19:1-5,)Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.

(Vs 9&10) And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham, for the son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.

This man Zacchaeus heard that Jesus was passing by, the Bible says he was short , there was a lot of crowd blocking him from seeing Jesus. He decided to climb up so desperately seeking to see Jesus. It was interesting that Jesus saw that he made extra effort , that is he was determined with all his heart to see this Jesus that he  had been hearing about.

Jesus did not only talk to this man but Jesus went to his house, and said salvation has come to this house. This is His promise, if you seek me with all your heart you will find me. !! The problem the children of God have today is that we don’t have time to seek God, even when we seek Him we are not going through the proper channels.

So many Christians are cosmetics Christians, we go to church when we have time, we don’t read our bibles, we don’t seek God through praying and fasting, . When we need prayers we start looking for men of God who can pray for us, and see visions for us. Like this Zacchaeus he did not sit in his house and tell people to reach out Jesus for him. He had many reasons not to seek Jesus those days. First of all the Bible said he was short, secondly the crowd was obstructing his view. He did not allow anything to prevent him from seeing Jesus. He was a rich man too, but he understood that his money could not give him salvation.

My dear friend, what is that thing preventing you from seeking God? Is It money, time? You don’t have time to seek God? You have all the time for everything in the world but no time to seek God? How is your relationship with Christ? How much time do you have in the things of God? Remember He is the owner of your life, your time , your money. If He put a stop on your activities today , you cannot do anything.

(Isaiah 55:6-7) Seek the Lord  while He may be found, call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways, and the righteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord , and He will have mercy on them, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.

Let us seek God from all our hearts and when we seek Him we will find Him, and when we find Him, our lives will not remain the same. When we find Him, all the areas of our lives will receive the light of God, I mean people around us will see and feel the favor of God in our lives. It worths the effort to go extra miles to seek God. He will help us in Jesus name.

Prayer: Oh Lord help me to seek you  , and help me to see your glory in my life in Jesus name.
