Title: God is love
Number one character of God we should know is that God is loving and He is good . Psalm 34:8 says Oh! taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him. Let us take time and come closer to God so that we will behold the goodness of the Lord. If we don’t come closer to Him , there is no way we can experience His goodness.
How can you come closer to God ? By reading His word, praying and by acknowledging His presence in your life. Take time to talk to him. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Says rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Let us try to develop an attitude of prayers , as we set aside times each day to eat food three times daily, let us in the same way set aside time to study the word of God and seek God in our prayers. This attitude will help us to know more of God’s character.
If we are not seeking God’s face on a daily bases it will be difficult to know Him. If we don’t go closer to Him how can He know us as to qualify us to reign eternity with him? . We have to retain accountability before God. Romans 12:1 . I appeal to you therefore, brothers , by the mercies of God to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. It supposed to be a constant worship, continues relationship with God, not in and out relationship .
If we don’t maintain our relationship with Him constantly we will not know Him enough. Knowing God is not one leg in and one leg out attitude. John 15: 4-5 , says abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you , unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, that will bear much fruit for apart from me you can do nothing. Only when we abide in the word of God that is when we will understand whom He is.
His power will be manifesting in us, people will see our fruits and glorify His name. When we are in the Lord, we can see the light of God, glory of God in our lives. Following Jesus has a lot of benefits. Blessings, prosperity, long life , good health, abundant life. Let us aspire to follow Jesus and our lives will not remain the same in Jesus name.
Prayer: Father Give me the grace to abide in you and continues to bear fruit. Fill me father with your Holy Spirit to guide me to all righteousness in Jesus name. Thank you Jesus that you are the vine and I am the branch, help me daily to remain fruitful in you in Jesus name. Continue to give your Angels charge concerning me in Jesus name. Amen.
