Title: Don’t Repay Evil For Evil

( Matthew 12:13-20) Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud , but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge; my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath; for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay” says the Lord. On the contrary: “ If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

There is one thing we always say whenever our brother stages war against us. We always say,  I will forgive but I will not forget. Or do me I do you God no go vex. This part of the Bible in Romans is advising us today that we should love those who curse us. How can I love someone who is cursing me? How is that possible, someone who is looking for my down fall, how is it possible to show him love, give him food? How how and how!! ?? It is only in the Lord this can happen.

This is the life of Christ. See how He was bruised and insulated by mankind Whom He came to save leaving His father’s mansion, but they did not care , they released the criminal and crucified Him. Upon all that,  He prayed for their forgiveness. He did not pay them back with evil but continues to show us love even till today.

The word of God is telling us today to live in peace with all men. Do not pay them pack, forgive them, pray for them, show them love. The Lord said today vengeance belongs to Him. If they are hungry the Bible says to feed them, any help you can give them, do not hesitate to do it. The Bible says in doing this you are heaping burning coals on their head. Let God do the punishment, His own punishment will be worst that yours . May God help us to be Christians who live by example in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayers: Thank you God for your grace to read your word today. Help me t be a Christian who practice by example in Jesus name. Amen.
