Title: We are Called to Edify each other in Faith
Right now as the world in which we live is in a very bad condition , the opportunity to be salt and light to the world starting from our family and neighborhood is quite imperative. This is a very dark hour and is a time we need to proclaim the gospel and help people to find peace and hope in Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:11. Therefore encourage one another and build up one another.
We are followers of Christ , when He was in the world He went about doing good. He was preaching the gospel, showing compassion, healing the seek, feeding those that were hungry etc. Hebrews 10: 23-25. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised us is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another toward in love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another and all the more as you see the day approaching.
This is a time to pray for one another and encourage each other in faith and love. When we are doing this we are doing the work of Christ. That your brother, sister , friend and neighbor who has not been saved who is sick, who is hungry, who has no clothes to wear etc, how have you reached out to him or her? Because they don’t go to the same church with you or in the same organization with you , for that reason you don’t care to reach out and help them? encourage them one way or the other, reach out in anyway they may need your help. (Colossians 3:12-14 )Therefore, as God’s chosen people , holy and dearly beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another, if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Reach out somebody today and offer prayers, encourage them with the word of God. Tell them about the love of Christ, pray for them, encourage them to come to Christ, see if they need food or any kind of help u can render do it for the sake of Christ. Pray for health care workers who are working tirelessly to heal the sick, pray for the pandemic world for God to grant us mercy. This is not a time to mind your business , is a time to work for the Lord as His ambassador, and you will not lose your reward in Jesus name. Amen .
Prayer: Dear Lord I desire to do your will please give me the power to serve you in humility of heart. Help me to live my life according to your will and purpose to the glory of your Majesty. Take over my life today and may your grace and your presence followed me and my family everywhere we go in Jesus name. Have a blessed day.
