TOPIC – SUGARY MESSAGE BREEDS DIABETIC CHURCH
Read: 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Hebrews 5:12-14 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food,
for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.
But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

EXPOSITION
On this World Health Day, let us look at one of the things that can make the Church healthy and growing. Jesus Christ established His Church that He is the Head (Eph.5:23), with under-shepherds commissioned to look after the Church on His behalf (Jn.21:15-17). The Shepherd are to feed God’s sheep with nourishing foods. While some sheep are to take milk as babes in Christ (1 Pet.2:2), some are to be taking the strong meat (Heb.5:14).
Health-wise, we are aware of the harm sugar does to the body. There is increase awareness, that everybody should go for blood sugar screening, to prevent the yet incurable diabetics. The Holy Ghost is now expressly telling users of today’s does of the Living Water that if correct message is not given to the Church, she can’t live correct life! If the Pastor, for any reason, chooses to always give “sugary” messages every time, the church will soon become “diabetic”! A typical diabetic patient is accidentally has to eating certain foods! If he accidentally has any wound, it becomes a serious problem because it would not heal to time!
We look at the unbalanced, incorrect and maladjusted lives so-called Christians live today in the society, and what can only be asked most times is: ” Are these not attending church at all?” However, they do, but what type of messages do they listen to? Throughout His earthy ministries, Just Christ preached the kingdom of God (Mk.1:14). Is that being practiced today in the church again?
If the ministry will boom and expand, it is God’s work not through manipulative compromised, distorted messages! Leave the expansion, numerical increase, fame and wealth for now. Jesus only should be our message because He remains the Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer, and The Coming King. Remain Blessed as we deliberately take in solid food, not junks with manipulative packaging.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, grant Your ministers courage to preach the true Word.
2. Lord, help the leaders of Your people to be fed with the right food so that they can feed Your sheep rightly.
3. Help Your sheep to DESIRE the stuff, the food, the meat that is meant for GROWTH.
