OPENING PRAYER: Father, please make me an incurable soul winner.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leader should ask the members: Will Christ come back again?

MEMORY VERSE: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, – Luke 4:18

BIBLE TEXT: Isaiah 42:5-8 (KJV)

5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: The word missionary is derived from the latin word “mitto” which means “to send”. There is a greek equivalent called “apostello”. They both mean “to send”. Therefore a missionary may be defined or described as someone who is commissioned by a superior authority to bring a message or to carry out a work instructed by the sending authority. The missionary is sent to relate God’s salvation message to the world. Thus Jesus Christ is God’s missionary per excellence.

LEADERS DIARY:
