AN ALARM TO ALL NATIONS (2)

Read Deuteronomy 21:1-9

MEMORISE: And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord, holy and true, will you not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? (Revelation 6:10).

EXPOSITION

Human life is precious, most especially to God our Creator. This nonetheless isn’t surprising since man had his being directly from, and through God’s breath. The human life is in the blood (Lev. 17:11). This makes it possible for blood to “cry” when shed, especially unjustly (Gen. 4:8-10; Rev. 6:9,10).

To prevent violations, God, as well as nations of the earth in all clime, have set or put definite and rigorous measures in place to seek out and punish murderers. Today’s devotional scripture portrays these in details. The victim is firstly proven to be truly dead, the location ascertained, the elders and judges gather, Levites or servants of God are called in to plead on behalf and absolve the people of the land from retribution, after they might have proven non-complicity or innocence in the mystery death.

It is high time we started washing our hands off and clean from the rampant, incessant, and unabated killings of the innocent in our land, so as not to partake of the impact of the wrath of the LIVING GOD, the Author of all human lives, which is to come as vengeance upon such sacrilege. Bloodshedders will never go unpunished, most especially that of the  righteous, just as Christians are being killed worldwide.

We owe ourselves: nations, generations and posterity the duty of unravelling, punishing and stopping it with it’s entirety, the murderous spree of the innocent before it is too late (cf. Matt. 23:33-38). We must also continue relentlessly to plead “the Blood of Jesus” upon ourselves, homes, nations etc., for only by this alone shall “I pass over you,” says the Lord.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. We confess and repent of all the unrighteous bloodshed in our land, O Lord. Let there be an end to all unrighteous killings in all the earth, in the name of Jesus.

2. We plead the blood of Jesus upon ourselves, family, home, nation and posterity, in the name of Jesus.

3. I absolve myself, family and posterity of all unjust killings going on in the land, in Jesus’ name.
