JESUS, GOD’S PERFECT PICTURE

Read:  John 8:45-47

John 8:45-47  And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

MEMORISE:

But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many (Romans 5:15)

EXPOSITION

Jesus lives the life of the perfect picture of God, the Supreme Being whose life transcends mortals, as television gives the picture of images as the whole world commemorates World Television Day, today. No religion or science has ever successfully disproved that. Jesus lived and left behind the ultimate principle of good living, leadership and authority: “a leader cannot pursue love and power simultaneously.” Instead of pursuing power, Jesus pursued love and, at the end, gained both. Today, Jesus holds more power and elicits more love than anyone in history.

Today’s devotional Bible reading points you to the one and only perfect Man, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who lived and lives on\in the hearts and lives of those who truly receive Him as their personal Lord and Saviour from sin and its eternal lake of fire as consequences.

Jesus Christ is the only Gift of God, given to save mankind from sin imputed and sin ever committed – past, present and future. You can, either receive or reject Him. The following Bible quotes reveal the consequences of your choice: ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only son … The man who has accepted it has certified that God is truthful. [That] The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him’ (Jn. 3:16-18,33-36) Let Jesus, the perfect Man, make perfect today, all the imperfection in you, as you receive Him, rely on Him and let Him reproduce Himself in you.

PRAYER POINTS

1. O Lord, show me Your way that I may walk in it, and with You.

2. Lord Jesus, help me to always place Your perfect picture before me, and allow it to moderate me in all I do.

3. Pray for our church, traditional, political, and other leaders, that God should help them to learn from the perfect leadership example of Jesus.
