TOPIC: Don’t Be Caught In This

MEMORISE: But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 2 Timothy 3:13

READ: 2 Timothy 3:1-5

  1. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
  2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
  3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
  4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
  5. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

MESSAGE:

During my University days, if there was a riot, the worst we did was to pluck tree branches, sing and dance in protest; we also used to mount road blocks at strategic points to prevent movement. People who joined secret societies were there to drink palm wine and make fun of girls. Also, the greatest distraction of a student was television, but things have changed.

Students’ protests have taken a frightening dimension and secret societies have become a haven of blood baths, rape and unimaginable terror. Now, when the TV sets are off, children continue with their ipads, laptops and androids. Many things go unchecked and have led teenagers into pornography, masturbation et cetera, right under their parents supervision. We never thought all these could happen.

As a child of God, place a check on your life by blocking all apps that promote immorality, study more of Gods word, listen to more gospel music and be filled with the Holy Spirit so that He can teach and lead you on how not to be caught in the web of evil in our world today.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please keep me undefiled and if I have been defiled in any way, please wash me with the blood of Jesus.
