THEME: LOAFING OR LIVING?

MEMORIZE:  It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. Lamentations 3:27

BIBLE READING: LAMENTATIONS 3:25-27

25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.

MESSAGE:
A wise man knows when to work and when to rest. There is the right time for labour, this is why our memory verse today says It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth If your time is well utilized, your youth
will be spent laying a solid foundation for your future.

Unfortunately, many youths are wasting their time. They are living in leisure and vanity, loafing around. Stop wasting your life!.

This time of your life is not a time of leisure but for serious hard work. It is not the time to gallivant, attend parties or gatherings that cannot contribute to your success in life.

Becoming successful requires dedication and commitment especially considering the global economy and stiff competition around the world. So why not get serious?.

Cut back on the time you spend hanging out with friends; if they are not helping you grow, drop them, eliminate time wasters.

Take your studies seriously, set academic
goals for yourself and work at surpassing
them. Take your walk with God seriously.

You wont make head way in life without God.
Sit up and work towards the kind of life you
want, every day.

PRAYER POINT:

When you spend time laying a solid foundation for yourself spiritually, academically, financially, you are living, not
loafing.

HYMN

WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD

1. When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way,
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

CHORUS
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away,
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay,
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

4. But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
For the favour He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
