TOPIC: Whenever God Speaks, It Is Done
PRAYER POINT: Father, please speak to me and make me understand.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Leader should tell the members to differentiate between godly and ungodly opportunities.
MEMORY VERSE: For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. – Psalms 33:9
BIBLE PASSAGE: Genesis 1:3-24, Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
Genesis 1:3-24:
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
Isaiah 55:11:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

i. God’s word supersedes words of Kings and President.
ii. When God speaks mountain skips like ram.
INTRODUCTION:
Speaking is the first active verb of the universe. Speaking is the tool used by God in creating the universe. When he speaks, nothing remains the same. At the beginning, God spoke and the universe was created out of nothing. The universe didn’t just create itself, it was created by the Word of God, Psalms 33:9. In Genesis 1:3, God said “Let there be light” and there was light. He followed a pattern when he created the earth: He spoke, and it was so. God doesn’t make suggestions, He speaks with the full authority and what he has said will come to fruition. His Words come with power and Holy Spirit 1 Thessalonians 1:5, John 6:63.
LESSON OUTLINES: There are two outlines.
A. SOME BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF WHEN GOD SPEAKS – OLD TESTAMENT
- The voice of God is like thunder. 2 Samuel 22:14, Psalms 104:7
- He spoke to Adam and Eve in the Garden. Genesis 2:16-18; 3:8, 13-14.
- Jacob in Genesis 28:13-15; 35:1, 9-12
- He spoke to Moses. Exodus 19:18-20.
- David in 1 Samuel 23:2 and 4; 30:8, 2 Samuel 2:1; 5:19, 23-24.
- Solomon in 1 Kings 3:5-15
- Elijah in 1 Kings 19:9-18
- Job and his friends in Job 38:1-42:6
- Hosea in Hosea 1:2-5.
- Jonah in Jonah 1:1-2; 3:1-2; 4:4, 9-11.
- Zechariah in Zechariah 1:1-17.
B. IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
- He spoke to Jesus in Luke 3:21-22, John 12:27-29
- He spoke to Saul on his way to Damascus in Acts 9:3-4, to Paul in Acts 18:9-10. He also spoke to him in the night in a vision not to be afraid in Acts 10:13-15, 2 Peter 1:16-18,21.
LESSON ACTIVITIES:
Why are some modern day Christians still doubting the Word of God despite the various Biblical testimonies?
SUMMARY:
The Word of God cannot fail.
CONCLUSION:
By the Word of the Lord were the heavens made, and all the hosts of them by the breath of His mouth Psalms 33:6. He created all things by His Word, He spoke it and it was done Psalms 148:5, Hebrews 11:3. We can only please God when He speaks and we obey it.

- Thank God for the salvation of your soul and His numerous benefits to you.
- Father, everything contending with Your Word in my life, uproot in the mighty name of Jesus
- Pray for the rapid growth of RCCG spiritually, numerically and materially.
- Pray for Daddy G.O and his family.
