TOPIC : LIVING AS THOSE MADE ALIVE IN CHRIST.
Colossians 3:22-25
Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do , work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since that you receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.
Anywhere you are and anything you are doing here on earth, the Bible says do it as if you are doing it for the Lord. Regardless, We have to understand that we have a God in heaven who is always watching us.
In that secret place where you are now, doing whatever that pleases you, try to look up and remember that the work you are doing is been monitored by Almighty God. In that secret place where you are , be honest in everything knowing that God is seeing you and will be the one you will account to on the last day. That child you are babysitting, that elderly you are working with who cannot talk, how are you taking care of them? God is looking at you. That money you have how did you make that money? Did you kill people, did you steal to be rich, ? that million in your bank account how did you make it? Whatever you do , do it as unto the Lord.
(John 1:47-48) Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, behold an Israelite in whom there is no deceit. How do you know me? Nathaniel asked. Jesus answered ; ” I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Phillip called you.
My question is , what are you doing under that fig tree where you are now? Do you know that God sees you? No man is seeing you under that fig tree but God sees you. Nathanael Asked Jesus
How did you know me? You can ask the same question too, but read what Jesus told him. My brother and sister, everything you do do it like unto the Lord.
A lot of things we do for people, but we will not be faithful on that job we are doing. You can tell your supervisor anything, not reporting all the money you are making on the sales you made but you can lie to your human master but you can’t lie to God.
Some of us so called Christians we can go to any length to make money without remembering that God is watching. We are not interested in doing things that will please God but only the things that will please us.
(2 Corinthians 5:10) For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, that each one may receive his due for the things done in the body, whether good or bad.
We really have to be careful, all the things we do here on earth, even the things we call small things in our own word matters before God. No sin is small before God . Whatever you do do it as unto the Lord. He is the one who sees in secret and the only one who can judge us on the last day. My dear brother, sister please do not follow the crowd, follow the principles of the Bible and you Will never go wrong. If you are a servant , serve your master as unto the Lord, if you are a pastor, work as on to the Lord. Be faithful in all you do, treat others as you want to be treated, love your neighbor as yourself, what you will not like people to do to you don’t do it to them. As you will not like another man to take your wife or your husband, as well don’t go for another man’s wife or husband. Do not commit murder as you will not like anyone to kill you or any member of your family, stop kidnapping people because you will not like to be kidnapped.All these money you are making fraudulently where are you going with it? One day you will leave it here and , remember many people have millions in the bank but when death calls , the bank claims the money or others will use it and they keep passing on. Why are we not interested in living life that will please God.
Revelation 22:12-13)
Look I am coming soon! My reward is with me , and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the last, the beginning and the end.
Prayers:(1) Lord please help me to remain a faithful servant to you in Jesus name.
(2) Please Forgive me Lord any way I have disobey you in Jesus name.
(3) Please Lord help me to understand that when I am serving others that I am serving you.
(4) Help me Lord to look unto the cross and not unto man, help me Lord not to follow the crowd but Lord help me to follow you in Jesus name.
