Title: We are More than Conquerors.
( Romans 8:31-36) What, then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be agains us? He who did not spare His own son, but gave him up for us all— how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died- more than that, who was raised to life. Is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword. As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered “.
The love God has for us is just too much. From creation He has loved us with everlasting love. He has love for us before He started creating us. It is not because we are righteous, or because we are the best, no is because God is love and He extended that love to us. If He did not spare His only son Jesus Christ, and He sent Him to die for us , just to show us how much He loves us, what can He not do for us?
If God has sent His son to die for us , He is not going to hold the gift of salvation back from us, if Jesus has died on the Cross so that we are not condemned, how can He go back and condemn us? He will not withdraw anything we need to live for Him. He is also at the right hand of God constantly interceding for us. God has acquitted us and has removed our transgressions from us , He is our advocate, He means well for us. Devil is the one that is pointing accusing fingers to the children of God.
(Hebrews 4: 14) Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. (Vs 16 ) Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Jesus has done all the wonderful work for us , and is still working for us. We always go through challenges in life , if not this it will be that one,. Hardship, sickness, imprisonment, etc. When we face all these , we begin to fear that may be Christ is no longer there for us. But the Bible makes it clear that it is impossible for any of these to separate us from the love of Christ. Nothing can separate us from Christ’s constant presence in our lives.
God assures us of His great love so that we will feel secured in Him. If we embrace His love and this amazing assurance we should not entertain any fear. If He is with us who can be against us. If He says yes who else can say no? If He closes a door who else can open it? The answer is NOBODY. It is in our hands to claim His love, His love and compassion fails not. He cannot save and at the same time condemn us, except if we are not accepting that love He lavished on our behalf on the cross. He has finished everything on the cross. May the Lord help us to embrace Him and surrender our lives to Him in Jesus mighty.
Prayer : Please Lord don’t allow anything to separate me from the love of Christ in Jesus name. Help me Lord to accept your love in my life in Jesus name.
