TRUE APOLOGY (2)

Read: Hebrew 12:11-15

Hebrews 12:11-15 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.

“Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

MEMORISE:

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. (Hebrew 12:14)

EXPOSITION

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (Matt.5:9). This is a correct match to our memory verse. If you get the privilege to be called a child of God, then you are on your way to see God. The peacemaker is a person who knows the importance of relationship and brotherhood. The peacemaker knows problems are bound to come, but fixing it should be the topmost priority.

Believers in the society should be the ones to earn justice of peace (J.P) and peace Ambassador (AP). These shouldn’t be titles, but lifestyle. Whenever there is a dispute or offence, those who take the bold steps to correct the situation in love are the true peacemakers. Most times, they apologise even when they ought not to that one apologises doesn’t mean he is weak-it indicates that he/she knows the value of true relationship and peace.

True apology accepts wrong and makes effort to rectify it. Apology is not just earning forgiveness for you but to renew that lost trust and bond in the relationship. As God’s Word has challenged us; If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. (Romans 12:18). Be a peace Ambassador.

Here are some practical ways to be a man of peace. Desire to be at peace with all men even if no deep relationship would exist (dark and light). Sometimes, accept to be cheated, so that a wall can be broken and a possible bridge is created. Do not be too right about your rights, Think about godly and Bible-based responsibilities.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Lord, may sincere sorry not be too heavy in my mouth.

2. Lord, give our women the spirit to forgive others easily.

3. Pray for the reconciliation between fraction of the church.
