Title: What have you done for Jesus?
There is a hymn that says : I gave my life for thee, My precious blood I shed, That thou might’st ransomed be, And quickened from the dead; I gave my life for thee- What hast thou giv’n for me? We just celebrated the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus in the last few days , everybody was happy, some drank a lot of wine, some went to movies, some people staged different types of get together in the name of celebrating our savior’s death and resurrection. It was good that we did all these celebrations.
Child of God, what have you done for Jesus in return for the work He did for you at the cross of Calvary? Have you accepted Him as your Lord and savior. Have you acknowledged the sacrifice, precious sacrifice He made on the cross for you and me? The death of Jesus Christ on the Calvary tree, how has it benefited you? (Ephesians 2:8-10) For It is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, It is the gift of God . Not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works , which God prepared in advance for us to do.
God created us to do some work for Him . We are not just created to come to the world , may be go to school, get education, work, raise children, get old and die. We are created to serve God, we are created for a purpose. What are you doing for God? (Matthew 16: 24-27) Then Jesus said to His disciples, “ Whoever wants to be my disciples must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me . For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world ,and yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? For the son of man is going to come in His father’s glory with his angels, and then He will reward each person according to what they have done.
If you have decided to do something for God , it must come with a sacrifice, as the Lord sacrificed His life for you and me , we have to sacrifice something to serve Him, your time? Your life, your money? Etc. What are you doing for Jesus.? If rapture takes place today, and you happen to stand before Him , only you not with any other person? What are you going to show that you have done for Him while waiting for His return? What have you done? What are you doing for Him? This is the question we have to start asking ourselves the Christians?? If you cannot answer this question , it then means you are not doing anything for Him, and you can start today. Jesus is coming soon? Are you ready? Are my ready? What are you doing for Jesus?? May God help us in Jesus name.
Prayer: God please help me to serve you, so that at the end I will be found faith in your sight. Help me to give my life , my time and my money for your service in Jesus name.
