LESSON SEVEN
April 18 & 25, 2021
TOPIC: CHALLENGING GOD IA PERILOUS
TEXT: I SAMUEL 17:1-58
Goliath, the champion of the Philistines’ army, had been bullying the Israelites’ army for forty days. All of them were afraid and no one could come out to face him in battle, until David, a small shepherd boy, who was sent to give food to his brothers got there and saw Goliath bullying his people. David knew and trusted in God, so he said he would fight Goliath in the name od the Lord of Israel. He placed faith in God and faced Goliath in the name of the Lord God of Israel. He placed faith in God and faced Goliath; he defeated Goliath because he trusted in God. So, whenever we find ourselves in any problem, we should turn to God because He is the only One we can turn to whenever we are faced with any problem.
Memory Verse: Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know – Proverb 3:5 (GNB).
PRAYER: O Lord, help me to trust completely in You, so that I can become a champion.
