AS UNTO HIM

Read:  Matthew 25:34-40

Matthew 25:34-40 Then the King will say to those at His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father [you favored of God and appointed to eternal salvation], inherit (receive as your own) the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you brought Me together with yourselves and welcomed and entertained and lodged Me,

I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me with help and ministering care, I was in prison and you came to see Me.

Then the just and upright will answer Him, Lord, when did we see You hungry and gave You food, or thirsty and gave You something to drink?

And when did we see You a stranger and welcomed and entertained You, or naked and clothed You?

And when did we see You sick or in prison and came to visit You?

And the King will reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least [in the estimation of men] of these My brethren, you did it for Me.

MEMORISE:

Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men. (Colossians 3:23)

EXPOSITION

The Bible tells us that whatever our hands find doing we should not only do it with every seriousness in us but as well as unto the Lord. Are you a gatekeeper, bus driver, pastor, politician, Secretary? See that in your hand as assignment unto God. Work it out with all your might and every grace of God upon your life. Let it be known to you that God watches as man does.

Someone introduced David to king Saul; because he had been seen doing His task as unto the Lord (1 Samuel 16:18). You’ve got to do all as unto the Lord because, He supplies all you needs for successes-the task, your strength and the resources to accomplish them. Why not be so serious with what you do today?

We must see our work-secular and spiritual as act of service or worship. Man’s actions can discourage us but when we see all we so as service to God, we will be encouraged and motivated, then, we will do it without complaints and mind of no gratification from man. Service to God is rewarding. Let Him reward you handsomely.

Remember these fundamental truth. The Earth and its fulness belongs to God. The world is one broken unto departments and areas of services. Again, none is created to be an observer. Everyone is designed and empowered to do something- believers in God should know this than others. Therefore whatever you are given to do is your contribution to God’s world, first and foremost and through it, all other good things shall follow.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, help me to live my life to please You and to bring blessings to my world and generations after me.

2. Pray for the civil servants in the government parastatals that they will receive the grace to see and do their work as unto the Lord.

3. Pray for our church leaders that they will do all within their power to bring glory to God in all they do.
