TOPIC: CONTESTING WITH THE RAGING AGENTS OF THE NIGHT

The MESSAGE:
The night is a very strategic time and that is why men sleep. The Bible says “while men slept, his enemy came”. Whether we like it or not, there is a rage on. A rage against the righteous, a rage against the power of God in people’s lives.
A rage to destroy destinies, a rage to cause serious trouble for people’s lives. And the rage takes place in the night.
It is therefore important for you to be able to contest against the rage of the night. It is important for you to defend yourself and your family against the rage of the night.
So this is like a teaching session and afterwards we are going to start some prayers.
Why do these heathen rage? What are the raging powers? What is the agenda of the night raging powers? “While men slept, his enemies came”.
PRAY: Every rage of the night against my life, against my testimony, scatter in the name of Jesus!
- These are powers that invite unexplainable hatred against you.
- These are powers that rage when you are close to your breakthroughs and they pick the hours of the night.
- These are powers that remove your name from profitable lists.
- These are powers that are rejoicing in your failure.
- These are powers that cause chaos when it is your turn to shine.
==> I pray that any power causing chaos when it is your turn to shine shall be destroyed in the name of Jesus.
These are:
- Ancestral powers that have made demotion covenants against your family line.
- Spirits that will enforce collective captivity.
- Spirits that will enforce horizontal and ancestral curses.
- Powers behind the idols of your father’s house.
- Unrepentant powers that have been assigned against you. All these are the forces that gather themselves together to attack people in the night. We need to contest against them.
Now, we are going into defensive strategies to contest with these powers.
==> I pray that the Lord will open your understanding in the name of Jesus.
==> I decree that every power of the night assigned to trouble you shall trouble themselves and be scattered unto desolation and confusion in the name of Jesus!
What Are The Defensive Strategies?
- Examine your life to be sure that you are not living in any known sin. Sin creates avenue for oppression and affliction. Sin is a ladder and landing space to oppression and affliction.
The first thing to do as a defensive strategy, as a counter attack strategy is to first of all examine your own life to know if you are living in any known sin or not. Sin creates a ladder.
- Always fortify your spirit man with the word of God. If you are not the Bible memorising kind of person, you should start memorising scriptures now. Always load yourself with God’s word. Fill your body, soul and spirit with the word of God.
- Always praise and thank God for the day before sleeping. Before you go to bed, always fom a habit of singing praises to God. God is glorious in holiness and faithful in praises.
- Pray every night that God should give you the spirit of might and dominion. The Bible says “whosoever asks, receives.” If you do not ask, you will not receive.
- Never go to bed angry or in a fighting mood. To go to bed angry, as a married couple, you will have a third party on your bed that night. The third party will be the merchants of the night, so do not welcome them.
- Never go to bed crying or in a depressed mood. Whatever has happened, or is happening has happened. So free your mind in the joy of the Lord always. The joy of the Lord is your strength.
- Practice the presence of the Holy Spirit. Read your scriptures, think about the goodness of God, invite the Holy Spirit to be around you, practice His presence until sleep lulls your away.
- Never sleep reading dirty books, dirty novels, watching horror movies, cracking dirty jokes or worrying about tomorrow. Do not sleep in that state; if you do, you will be attacked.
- Command God’s angels and fire to surround your dwelling place before you sleep. “Angels of God, encamp around me, fire of God, laminate me, fire of the God of Elijah, cover my surrounding, cover my environment”. These are prayers to pray before you go to bed.
- Periodically anoint your room and your body if you are prone to bad dreams. So that the enemy does not turn your room and your body into a habitation of darkness.
Never be afraid or be out of faith when you get up from a terrible nightmare. Just recollect the issues one at a time, intelligently look at them. Cancel the negative ones and accept the positive ones.
Analyse their meanings by the power of the Holy Spirit. If you cannot analyse their meanings, one way to recognise a bad dream is the end of it.
If the end of a dream is bad, then it has a bad meaning so just nullify it, recount the dream before the Lord and just nullify it.
- If you forget your dream, pray fervently for the Holy Spirit to give you a memory recall so you can know how to deal with them, because if you cannot recall the dream, you will not know how to deal with them or whether you should deal with them at all.
- If you wake up from a bad dream, quickly anoint your body or take a sip of anointing oil. Or if you wake up from a dream where you have been shot, rejected or afflicted with body lacerations, make sure you anoint yourself immediately you get up from that dream.
- Pray loud and aggressive prayers using Isaiah 54:17.
- If you are pregnant and you keep getting attacks, you keep seeing red objects in the dream which signifies that Satan is planning for you to have a miscarriage, quickly go and anoint yourself and pray and if you have a prayer point, just your prayer partner in prayers.
- You should memorise all the scriptures that can be used to nullify the rage of the enemy.
- If you are having repeated bad dreams, then you need to wait upon the Lord for some time and if possible, go for a deliverance check up.
- Do not always regard all the people or faces you see in your dreams as enemies. The devil may be trying to confuse you, to dribble you, to mislead you. Ask the Lord for proper identities.
- Make sure you spend an average of one hour before God in prayer and at least turn it to 30 minutes in scripture meditation. This habit will help to fortify your spirit. These are strategies to confront the rages of the night.
- Make sure that you have learnt or get yourself informed on your weapons of war. There is a book called “101 weapons of war”. You can buy the book to encourage you to fight and to use the weapons at your disposal.
And anytime you need to pray these kinds of warfare prayers having to do with quenching the rages of the night, there are songs that are useful and scriptures that are useful.
Songs:
- The Lion of Judah has broken every yoke etc
- There is power, there is power, there is power in the blood of Jesus.
- There is power, power, wonder working power in the blood of the Lamb.
Scriptures.
Numbers 23:23 is an important scripture in warfare. It says “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!”
Psalms 144:6: “Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.”
These are scriptures to know in this warfare.
Isaiah 7:7: “Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.”
Isaiah 54:14-17: “In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD”.
Proverbs 26:27: “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.”
What To Do:
- Surrender your life to the Lord.
- Know your enemy.
- Know your God.
- Know your weapons
- Know your battles.
- Fight the battles
- Barricade your life for the enemy not to have access to you.

- Powers mounting a siege against my destiny, scatter in the name of Jesus
- I recover by fire everything the enemy had stolen from me in the name of Jesus
- All the raiders of the night assigned against my life, I bury you now in the name of Jesus
- Every power threatening my existence, I bury you by fire in the name of Jesus
- Oppressors of the night pointing at me, I command your hand to wither in the name of Jesus
- Any power assigned to use my environment against me, I bury you now in the name of Jesus
- Any satanic power assigned to oppress my future, die in the name of Jesus
- Any existence oppressing my life, scatter in the name of Jesus
- Evil powers waiting for me at the junction of my breakthroughs, die in the name of Jesus
- O heavens arise and oppress my oppressors in the name of Jesus
- Every oppressor of My father’s house, I pull you down in the name of Jesus
- O Rock of Ages, grind my night enemies to pieces in the name of Jesus
- Arrows fired against me in my dreams, backfire in the name of Jesus
- Powers assigned to convert me to a spiritual dustbin, I bury you in the name of Jesus
- Powers of the night attacking my star, die in the name of Jesus
- Every mouth of the enemy speaking against me in the night, shut up in the name of Jesus
- Powers assigned to dump my glory into the dustbin, die in the name of Jesus
- Arrows that have stolen from me, scatter in the name of Jesus
- Powers assigned to make me naked, I Bury you now in the name of Jesus
- I sweep away every sorrow assigned against me in the name of Jesus
- Voices of “thou shall not prosper” assigned against me, expire in the name of Jesus
- Every Jericho warfare assigned against my life, scatter in the name of Jesus
- Powers commanding my glory to die, die in the name of Jesus
- Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise, advertise your power in my life in the name of Jesus
- My night, my night, my night, hear the word of the Lord, you shall not favour the wicked in the name of Jesus

- O God arise, let your enemies in my body scatter in the name of Jesus
