TOPIC: Mystery And Blessing Of Dedication (VII)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 14, Genesis 15, Genesis 16, Matthew 5:43-48, Matthew 6:1-24, Psalm 6

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Daniel 6:19-22 (KJV)

19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

MEMORY VERSE: “Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.” – Job 1:10

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Dedication to God is the doorway to distinction in life. To be dedicated to God is to be differentiated and to make a difference on the earth.

PRAISE & WORSHIP

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
I PROPHESY THAT THE OIL OF EXCELLENCE AND DISTINCTION SHALL COME UPON YOU TODAY. HENCEFORTH, YOU SHALL BE ABOVE ALWAYS AND NEVER BENEATH, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

The MESSAGE:

The Bible is replete with examples of men and women who dedicated their lives to God as well as His Kingdom and reaped the benefit of a destiny of distinction. These men and women had the privilege of standing out in life (Genesis 6:6-8; 37:2; 42:18; 37:7-9; Job 1:1-3; Daniel 1:8, 20; Malachi 3:17-18). Do you want to live a life of excellence and distinction? Commit and consecrate yourself to the service of God; present yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to Him.

Let us examine some scriptural examples of dedicated men and women who experienced destinies of distinction. The first was Noah who walked with God and found grace with Him. He stood out in his generation and became God’s purpose partner and project manager (Genesis 6:6-8). Joseph feared God and lived a righteous life. Hence, God gave him a destiny of distinction. In his family, he stood out and later became a prime minister in Egypt where his eleven brothers came and paid obeisance to him in fulfilment of his dreams earlier in life. The Bible also portrays Job (Job 1:1-3) and Daniel (Daniel 1:8, 20) as men of distinction.

Beloved, dedication to God is the doorway to distinction in life (Malachi 3:17-18). To be dedicated to God is to be differentiated and to make a difference on the earth. When you are dedicated to God, His glory robs on you and you shine everywhere you go. Dedication also makes you excel among your peers. Your resolute and unreserved commitment to God’s Kingdom and His work will open the door of distinction for you.

Our Fire Scripture for today underscored the point on distinction through a life of dedication. Daniel, Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego were young Hebrews in Babylonian captivity. Daniel 1:20 affirms that the king found the young Hebrews ten times better than all the magicians, astrologers and sorcerers in the land. In Daniel 2:48-49, the Bible says that the king made Daniel a great man, made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and the chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon. Also, upon Daniel’s request, the king set Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego over the affairs of the province of Babylon. Truly, dedication produces distinction!
