THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE

Bible Text: John 3:15-17
Memory Verse: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16, NIV
During special seasons, most companies usually roll out special sales bonanzas. Sometimes you can hear: “Buy one, get one for free!”, “Buy fifty thousand Naira worth of goods and win a ticket!” Or “Be one of the first ten to win a travel ticket to Dubai!” Meanwhile, some of these adverts make people think that the business owners are seriously passionate about them. They are unable to figure out that the business owners are actually using the adverts as gimmick to lure people to enrich their businesses.
Unlike this world’s business owners, God offers free gift of eternal life to humankind primarily for the best interest of humankind. God can be God without the entire humankind. If the entire humankind goes to hell, God will still remain God. But because He loves humankind, He gives the gift of eternal life to all for free. The gift of eternal life is beneficial for man not only in heaven but also here on earth.
If you receive this gift, you are God’s favourite in the world; you carry God’s seal of ownership in the person of the Holy Spirit. You carry divine nature and you have the authority to prevail over sin, sickness and Satan.
Insight: Salvation cannot be bought with money but obtained through faith.
Prayer: Almighty God, preserve me against all the wiles of the enemy always in Jesus name.
