18. And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19. But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

MEMORISE:

But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29).

Sadly today, the two very institutions created by God, the one- man-one-wife marriage (Gen. 2:18) and the Church (Matt. 16:18) are under terrible attacks by the devil through different interlocked human depraved ideologies, even by those who had immensely benefited from them. Gradually, our society is losing its poise (stand) for what is right, losing the truth about God the Creator, and losing vital age-long Christian virtues that have been the core of many nations’ building. On which side of the axis are you, in this morally-decayed dispensation? God expects you to uphold His holy standard in this corrupt generation.

Peter and the other Apostles, when confronted with intimidating charges in Acts 4:19, answered and said: Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. Also, in Acts 5:28-29, when threatened again by the same authorities, the apostles maintained: We ought to obey God rather than men. That is what standing tall for God means in this untoward generation.

Amid the trends of today’s religious hypocrisies and social disorders, God wants you to stand tall for Him and His commands. It may be costly. You may be seen as having lost your mind, families and friends, even close associates may castigate you, but know this assuredly, that the truth will always be on your side. Go out there, today; stand tall for the Lord Jesus in all His wisdom, righteousness and patience. Remember Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

PRAYER POINTS

1. O Lord, I covet Your presence and power to strengthen me against all intimidations against me standing tall

for You.

2. Lord Jesus, endow me with wisdom, courage and boldness for the task You have assigned to me.

3. Let us pray that God will embolden the body of Christ to courageously represent Christ in this end-time.
