LET GOD HANDLE IT (I)
Read: Matthew 17:14-18
[14]And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
[15]Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
[16]And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
[17]Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
[18]And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
MEMORISE: Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me (Matthew 17:17).
EXPOSITION
Do you have something in your life that seems out of control? Is business, or health that is out of control? Come to Me, all you it your marriage, family life, children, emotions, relationships, who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest, Jesus Christ says. (Matt. 11:28). Ordinarily, this statement may seem incredible, but is the truth, as far as the Word of God is concerned. The world may indeed offer expertise in many fields of professionalism, but the truth remains that medications, therapies and counselling have their limitations and shortcomings. Only in God, through the commands of Christ, do the world of men, have assured rest for every troubled soul and wearied life. Amazingly, as soon as the sick son was brought to Jesus, at His command, Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the child was cured that very hour (Matt. 17:17-18).
Dear devotional reader, do you need a permanent cure, and not just a treatment or therapy from your hurting spiritual numbness or indifference to the things of God, which this sickly paralytic son portrays? Then, stop looking for solution from the world’s experts who offer bodily therapies but not soul cure. Let God handle it through the power and authority in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. And you will have rest for your soul.
Make Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Saviour today, and be saved. Being spiritually paralytic is awfully worse than any bodily ailment. Come to God who can heal and cure your paralytic soul in prayers, and let Him handle it.
PRAYER POINTS
1. O Lord, I declare that You are the cure to my troubled soul. I receive total healing from all aching problems, in Jesus’ name.
2. I bring and submit my burden to You; continue to care for me according to Your Word.
3. Heavenly Father, we hand over our nation’s affairs to You for proper running.

Christ is calling “Follow Me.”
Faith and duty both will cry just obey.
