PATHWAY TO BECOME GOD’S CHILD

Memory Verse: “Yet to all who did received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13, NIV
Biochemistry is an interesting course. It involves (though not limited to) study of various biochemical pathways that take place in the body. These pathways lead to end products that the body system uses to function normally. If there is a break in any pathway, the end product will also be altered.
The fall of man in the Garden of Eden affected the pathway to becoming God’s child. The expectation is that man will be reunited to God. Interestingly, there is a pathway that must be taken to experience this transformation. More important than biochemical pathways is the process of becoming a child of God, which begins with accepting you are a sinner, receiving his provision for salvation through Jesus Christ, believing in His name, and departing from sin (John 1:12; Romans 10:9-10).
Have you decided to take the path that leads to eternal life, making you become one of the children of God? If yes, you should be deliberate in leaving behind your sinful life, and going the distance with Christ, your LORD and Saviour and the firstborn from the dead (Romans 8:29; Colossians 1:18).
Insight: The path that leads to becoming a son of God is unique and unavoidable.
Prayer: LORD, may I continually find peace in the family of God.
