TOPIC: GOD THE SON

BIBLE TEXT: John 20:28; Matthew 16:15-16
John 20:28
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Matthew 16:15-16
[15]He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
[16]And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

MEMORY VERSE: 2 John 1:3 “Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.”

CENTRAL TRUTH: God the Son is the second person in Trinity.

INTRODUCTION: God the Son refers to Jesus Christ, the Son of God. For Christians, this is Jesus as God in human form, who was sent to save sinners. He was sacrificed for our sins, which allows us to be reunited with God after death.

9. We receive reconciliation with God through the blood shed on the cross. Colossians 1:15-20, John 1:1-14

LIFE APPLICATION: We cannot have the salvation experience or be able to get to God the Father without our Lord Jesus Christ as our savior because He is the only link to the Father.

CONCLUSION: God the Son helps Christians to understand how God the Father makes His love known in the world. Have you experienced the salvation that Christ delights to offer you?
