LESSON FIVE (05)
TOPIC: THE MANIFESTATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 1:1-4; 1 CORINTHIANS 12:7-11
Genesis 1:1-4
[1]In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
[2]And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
[3]And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
[4]And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

1 Corinthians 12:7-11
[7]But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
[8]For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
[9]To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
[10]To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
[11]But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

MEMORY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 12:7 “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”

CENTRAL TRUTH: The Holy spirit is able to manifest in us in diverse ways.

INTRODUCTION: A manifestation is the public display of emotion or feeling, or something theoretical made real. Manifestation’s origins are in religion and spirituality because if something spiritual becomes real, it is said to be a manifestation. The gift of the Holy Spirit in a believer become known when it is manifested and only the one who has the gift has the capacity to manifest it.
This can be in various ways. A believer can have more than one of these gifts though, not everyone will manifest the spirit in the same way at any given time.
