13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

The hallmark of every genuine child of God is holiness. Holiness means separation from the things that displease God in order to be set apart unto the person of God. Holiness is simply being of one mind with Christ. Whatever Christ says is right, you say it is right. Whatever Christ says is wrong, you say it is wrong.
In 1 Peter 1:16, we read: “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” Holiness is the non-negotiable agenda of God for all His redeemed ones. It is generally connected with God’s perfection and beauty. It is the only valid ticket to see God and to experience all He has destined for you. Then after your sojourn here, you are sure of seeing Him in glory. Without holiness, you cannot see God; you cannot see His glory; you cannot see His beauty; you cannot see His power; you cannot see His goodness; you cannot see the fullness of His manifestation in your life and in everything that concerns you.
Always remember that without holiness no man shall see the Lord. Do you want to see God in action on your behalf? Then make the pursuit of holiness your central focus. In our world today, many Christians are living carelessly without any recourse to holiness. Please, don’t follow them. Beloved, I want to ask you. What is the essence of going to church, calling yourself a believer without enjoying all that He has for you now and not also seeing Him in glory after your sojourn here?
Holiness is God’s goal for our lives. Without this transformation, we cannot be saved at the end. God cannot co-exist with sin, and for you to enjoy fellowship with Him, you must be without sin and put on the garment of holiness perpetually.
Beloved, holiness is achievable through the help of the Holy Spirit, and by avoiding every form of sin, living a disciplined life, praying always and by commitment to living by the standard of the word of God.

MORNING
- O Lord, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, enable me to live a holy life, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, help me to walk with You in holiness so that I will fulfil the purpose of my existence, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, destroy the power of sin in my life, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- O Lord, teach me Your word all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, give me the spirit of humility to enable me walk in holiness, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, empower me to keep Your commandments, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, make me a vessel unto honour and practical instrument of Your glory, in the name of Jesus.
