Advertising disclosure

How Borderwise makes money, and how we keep advertising separate from our editorial content.

Last updated September 15, 2026

Borderwise is free to read. We pay for research, writing and hosting mainly through advertising. We want you to understand how that works.

Display advertising

Ads on the Site are served by Google Ad Manager and Google's advertising partners. Ads are selected automatically, based on the page content and, if you have consented, your interests. We do not choose individual advertisers, and an ad appearing next to a guide does not mean we recommend that company. Ad placements are labelled "Advertisement".

If you see an ad that is misleading or promises guaranteed visas or jobs, please contact us and we will ask for it to be blocked.

Editorial independence

Advertisers have no influence over what we cover or what our guides say. Our editors decide what to publish based on what readers need, following our editorial policy.

We do not currently use affiliate links. If we introduce them, for example for money-transfer or insurance comparisons, we will label them clearly on the page. Earning a commission will never change which products we mention or how we describe them.

We do not currently publish sponsored content. If we ever do, it will be clearly labelled "Sponsored" and kept separate from our independent guides.

What we never accept money for

We never accept payment to promote visa services, recruitment agencies or "guaranteed" immigration outcomes, or to change the content of a guide.
