DO YOU HAVE A ROOM FOR JESUS?
Read: Matthew 26:17-19
Matthew 26;17-19 Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread [Passover week], the disciples came to Jesus and said to Him, Where do You wish us to prepare for You to eat the Passover supper?
He said, Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, The Master says: My time is near; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.
And accordingly the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they made ready the Passover supper.
MEMORISE:
And Joseph took the body and rolled it up in a clean linen cloth used for swathing dead bodies. And laid it in his own fresh (undefiled) tomb, which he had hewn in the rock; and he rolled a big boulder over the door of the tomb and went away. (Matthew 27:59,60).
EXPOSITION
Many believers in Christ love to sing this song what shall I render (3ce), to you oh Lord help I will praise you oh Lord and shout hallelujah, what shall I render to You oh Lord? Yes! Good to sing and give God our praise, there are more things to give also. Our Lord Jesus Christ had a challenge of where to keep the Passover with His disciples. Don’t forget He didn’t build any personal house not for inability buy was more interested in building the kingdom of God in our hearts. Though foxes have holes, the Son of man has nowwhere to lay His head (Mt. 8:20).
Jesus wents to live in our hearts to reach out to the rest of the world. That explains why He stand at the door of our hearts and He is knocking (Rev. 3:20). Let us break all those barries which may not allow us welcome the Saviour into our hearts and our homes. Like Zacchaeus, Mary, and Martha abandoned the world to welcome Jesus into their lives and homes. Let us surrender our hearts and our belongings to Him, today. Has anyone given Him anything that He will not repay?
Consider these lives. Firstly, the man who surrendered his house to Jesus for the historic Passover. Secondly, Peter who gave his boat for Jesus to address the audience and the little boy who gave to Jesus the fish and bread which were received and blessed by Jesus for His guest. They must have been blessed tremendously. “Eccl. 11:1” says“ Cast your bread upon the water, For you will find it after many days”.
In as much as you will Surrender your money, time, talents, properties, etc., you must also surrender your precious life to Jesus Christ for you to gain eternal life. May you not live here in vain.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, forgive all I deliberately owe You.
2. Lord, help me to surrender my all to You now!
3. Father, deliver church leaders who are too money conscious than being heavenly conscious.
