September 9, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional :- IGNORING THE ALTERNATIVE PROVISION (2) – 1 Samuel 15:22

Sometimes ago, a brother who is a horticulturist did flower planting and horticulture work for his church where he had been ministered to and he inflated the price about three times. One of his friends was so shocked that he asked him, “Bro, why are you doing this?” They were in the same business, and he replied, “Don’t worry, I will just double my tithe.” That is a man that can neither go to the top nor make it in life because he is disqualifying himself from Zion wealth. He will be struggling like the men of the world.
God himself does not take just anything. God did not want anything from the Amalekites. He said, “Destroy everything,” but Saul and some of his men wanted some of those things. May God find you faithful and may the glory of the world mean nothing to you! It meant nothing to Jesus. The devil took him to the peak of the pinnacle and showed him the glory of the world, promising to give Him everything if He would just bow down to him. It meant nothing to Jesus, and if it meant nothing to Jesus, it should mean nothing to you. God has a better package for you than the wealth anyone has, so rest your case in God.
Who told you that God has delight in sacrifices? In 1 Samuel 15:22, Samuel said to obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams. God will not take any kind of thing, and you are not supposed to take any kind of thing. You know it when they want to corrupt you with flattery or the king’s meat, and you must know how to back out. God wanted them to destroy everything so as to bring them to a place that the wealth of the gentiles will mean nothing to them.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to cultivate obedience to Your word. I will not be a victim of flattery in life.
