October 23, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional : Topic – CHERISH GOD’S TREASURE IN YOU – Genesis 25:31-32
Some people will trade away their tomorrow for a pot of pottage today as Esau did. He said, “What profit is this thing to me?” Don’t trade away what is precious in your life. There is something in your life that God gave you when you came here that will make sure you are not a beggar on this planet. Everybody has it but many people trade it away, looking for something else.
There is something divine in you; it may be your talent, it may be something else, but when you link up with God, He will show you that thing that will make men look towards you. When the time comes that God will draw the attention of men towards you, you must be ready. Joseph had that thing even though he was a slave, and the time came that Pharaoh needed it. Daniel had it. He was a slave also, but the time came that King Nebuchadnezzar needed what he had. Esther had it. You may look at it as something as ephemeral as a beautiful face, but it was God that gave Esther that beautiful face.
You must be careful of Belial, the worthless one, which reduces people to nothing. Don’t let anything or anyone reduce you to a state of worthlessness because there is something that will put you among kings if you know it, work upon it and hone it. The Bible says, “Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men (Pro. 22:29 AMP).” You must not despise what is critical in your life.
PRAYER: Father, show me the critical treasure(s) in my life so that I can begin to develop them and use them to Your glory in Jesus’ name.
