December 18, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional : Topic – JOINING TO THE ANOINTING II – Acts 5:13

Today, we have people just joining themselves to the church anyhow. There was such awe around the people of God in the days of the apostles. People didn’t just join themselves to church anyhow because they saw what happened to Ananias and Sapphira who wanted to join lies to the pure move of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit quenched it, otherwise, the early church would not have survived.
God has kept the purity of the church because that is the foundation. When a man joined himself to Philip the evangelist, the apostles came there and cleaned out the pollution the man was bringing into the flow (Acts 8:5-24). They kept the move pure. When Nehemiah was building the temple, what did the enemies do? They said, “Let us come and join you” but Nehemiah said, “You have no part in this place.”
God gives us fathers that can keep their families from being joined by evil flows and put their feet down that, “This is what destroyed our ancestors, it will not enter the next generation. God has given me a commission and a mandate to build the broken walls of this family. God has called me to start a new flow.” Are you that man? Are you that strong? The Bible says the apostles did not allow just anybody to join them. What will flow in your family line? What will rule in your children’s lives? Is the generation coming after you going to be weaker or stronger? To remove the reproach of many generations, that is going to be determined by you directly.
PRAYER: Father, I receive grace to keep the flow pure, to take a stand for You and keep the coming generations free from pollutions from my ancestry in Jesus’ name.
