Title: The Devil is a deceiver
Genesis 3:1-5. Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord had made
He said to the woman, Did God actually say, You shall not eat any of the tree in the garden? And the woman said to the serpent, “We May eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said , you shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that Is the middle of the garden, neither shall you touch it lest you die”. But the serpent said to the woman. You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God , knowing good and evil.
You see , the devil has been a liar from the foundation of the earth. He
Is always standing in opposition of what God wants to do in the world He created. God told Adam and Eve how He wanted them to live in the garden of eden , and He wanted them to have peace and joy there, but the devil came and twisted the story and they listened to his lies and their relationship with God was destroyed.
God is interested in humans, so He wants to restore us back again through Christ, but the devil does not want that relationship to exist between us and God.
People of God should not accept to hold any dialogue with the devil. He is a deceiver, a liar and a thief and he comes to kill and destroy. There is no single truth in him, when we give him chance in our lives he looks for a way to destroy our relationship with God. It was because Eve started listening to his lies, that was what gave him the impetuous to deceive them.
He is trying to tell the children of God the same lies today. He told them if they eat the forbidden fruit they will not die, they listened to him and that is why there is death today.
The Bible is telling us that Jesus is coming again but the devil is saying that it is not true. Even when you resist him and tell him that he is telling lies , he will tell you that even if it is true that Jesus is coming it will not be any time soon.
The devil is telling some people lies that there is no hell fire. He is really out to destroy.
Romans: 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death, but the devil is saying this is not true.
For us to be successful in our spiritual journey, we have to refrain from holding conversations with the devil. He is always interested to twist the word of God around to suit his selfish interest. He is not interested for us to make heaven that is why he is fighting hard to distract us. He doesn’t want us to read the word of God, or to meditate on it. He keeps people busy over things that do not matter.
He is full of distractions.
Any time the spirit of God wants us to do things for God he will find a way to distract us. Devil has so much interest on the things we do , his interest is not to bless us but to lie or deceive us so that we can agree to his lies and miss the road to eternity. It will not be our portion in a Jesus name. When we stop listening to the word of God, or praying to know the will of God for our lives, we start to miss the line.
Today he is using the social medias to distract us. When we get up in the morning we jump into the social medias sometimes for hours, by doing that we forget our quiet time, forget to pray, forget to give God worship, until late we end up not praying or reading our bible for the day.He is using different kinds of distractions to make us to miss heaven. May God deliver us from the snare of the enemy in Jesus name. Amen.
This is the time we need to stand against him and resist him. (Ephesians 6:11, 13)Put on the whole arm of God, that ye May be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye May be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, stand.
It is better to stand against him in all areas. Let us not give him an oita of our time. When it appears that he is giving his quotes to us we should be on a rebuking, rejecting side. May God help us not to listen to his lies, let us continue to tell him to get behind us when ever he come talking to us. His goal is always to destroy the good work of God. He tried Jesus too, but Christ refused to fall to his dangerous tricks. God will give us the grace to withstand him in Jesus mighty name.
Prayers: Oh Lord cover my mind with the helmet of your salvation in Jesus name. Help me to understand that the devil is an enemy of my soul. Give me power to withstand his evil devices , help me Lord to endure till the end. Cover us, body soul and spirit in the blood of our savor Jesus Christ. Amen.
